15 AWESOME THINGS TO DO WITH KIDS ON THE GOLD COAST
Plus, where to eat and stay!
Ah, the Gold Coast! Our beautiful home! A sun-soaked playground where golden beaches meet thrilling attractions. Call us biased but we truly believe the Gold Coast, or Goldy as we fondly call it, is an absolute haven for families. With its world-class beaches, lush rainforests, exciting theme parks and amazing wildlife encounters, there’s no shortage of fun on the Gold Coast.
In this guide, we’ve included 11 awesome things to do with kiddos on the Gold Coast, plus a quick look at where to eat and stay. But first, let’s talk about when is the best time to visit.
The Gold Coast’s subtropical climate means you can bask in its sunshine all year round. However, the prime time to visit is during the shoulder seasons of autumn (March to May) and spring (September to November). It’s less busy, there’s less chance of rain and it’s still warm enough for beach days.
We know it’s not possible for many families, but we’d highly recommend planning your trip outside of the school holidays if you can. The beaches are much quieter, the theme park queues are shorter and accommodation will be far cheaper.
Okay, so pack your swimmers, sunscreen and an extra dose of excitement as we dive into some of the best things to do the Gold Coast with kids. From thrilling theme parks that will make your heart race to wildlife encounters that will leave you in awe, this list of the top things to do on the Gold Coast is your passport to an unforgettable family adventure in one of Australia's most beloved destinations.
